Welcome to KoreanESL.com! KoreanESL.com is designed with both ESL teachers and Koreans in mind. We help ESL teachers find new jobs and living information about Korea, and help Korean employers find qualified English teachers. This website is not limited to employers and English teachers. It is also a place where Koreans (parents, students, and other Korean people) can talk about the English education system and the English language. Our open forum("English Forum") is the main meeting place for all visitors of our website including ESL teachers, Gyopos, employers, foreigners, and any other English-literate Koreans. There are other forums dedicated to Koreans: “English Education Forum” and “Com.Topics”. These forums focus on the reality of the ESL education environment, and ways to improve problems. In addition, the “Book Reviews”, “This Expression?”, and “YouTube Sam” sections teach ESL skills, such as reading, writing, and listening, for Koreans to improve their English language proficiency. There are so many ESL related websites out there, yet not every site focuses on the importance of the education environment and communication infrastructure within. An ideal education system comprises of a stable system of qualified teachers, diligent students, and dedicated parents. A slight problem in any part of the system cannot produce good results at all. So the improvement of ESL education in Korea can only be attained by the active participation of all counterparts: Korean employers, Korean parents, Korean students and ESL teachers. KoreanESL.com encourages the participation of discussion and communication between English teachers and Koreans, to extend the mutual understandings between foreigners and Koreans. Any articles deemed important will be translated to English or Korean by the webmaster. Let’s start posting our advices and thoughts, to move towards a better future for ESL education in Korea. And let's spread the awareness of discrimination to the Korean public.
