Narrow-Minded Koreans
Posted: 2005/01/17 By: Korean-American (Views:3685)
You show how truly narrow-minded you are when you insult me by claiming that one would never say bad things about the country they came from. Presidents Kim Dae Jung, Roh, Kim Young Sam, and many of the Korean journalists at The Korea Herald, The Korea Times, and The Joonang Ilbo English language newspapers critcize South Korea when it is warranted to do so. My Korean-American friends are very critical of the R.O.K. but we still care a lot about the place -just as Korean mothers are notoriously critical of their kids because they care about them, we are sometimes critical of South Korea because we want the country to be a better place in which to live.
I have posted many times ont his site that it is wrong to sexually exploit kids!!! You are so blinded by your emotions that you can't admit that the written record shows that I'm against ANYBODY who would try to sexually exploit underage people.
You make the sweeping claim that Korean people in Los Angeles and New York "live to well to write about" (sic). You are wrong: The large Korean neighborhood in the Woodside area of New York's Queens borough is pretty crummy looking and L.A.'s Korea Town is a poor Korean ghetto surrounded by many blacks that would love to set it on fire again like they did in the riots of April,1992. By the way, have you ever been to Queens or L.A.'s Korea Town?
Mae-Gook-No, huh??! You obviously support my point that xenephobic and racist attitudes about those who are not "pure blooded Uri Nara" are one of the very disturbing, seminal issues facing so-called Modern Korea.
"Real parents" are not blindly racist bigots like you: They teach their children to think critically about the country they were born in (The Founding Fathers of the United States can be viewed in this way). And, only somebody like you would argue that all Americans would never see an Asian U.S. citizen as a "real American." There are a small, sometimes semi-vocal number of blacks and whites in the U.S. who foolishly think that Asian Americans can't be "real Americans"; but, obviously, most Americans find such nonsense appalling. The bottom line here is that your claim is demonstrably false and I ask you to research my counter-claim. Sure, there are a lot of primitive-thinking Asians who feel that way about "The Other" in their midst but enlightened Westerners do not. Get your head out of your ancient-minded ass and join the 21st century for God's sake!
How does it feel to know that Korean mafia operate all over Canada, Mexico, and the U.S stealing white kids, aboriginal kids, and black kids? South Korea has long been one of the top transit points and places of origin for human trafficking for the purposes of sexual exploitation and slavery. What do you have to say about that?
What about the thousands of room salons, juice bars, so-called "special barbershops", and outright whorehouses located on almost every street and at every railroad station in the cities and towns of South Korea? The Korea Times printed an article a couple of years ago that claimed that many, many of them have fifteen year old girls selling their bodies inside of them. What do you have to say about this?
Further, the government released a study three years ago that says AT LEAST fifteen percent of the females in this country ages eleven and older are involved in prostitution, an occupation that has traditionally been one of the only ways for females to make some money in your male-dominated society. Truth hurts, no?
People like me are concerned with telling the whole truth and nothing but the truth; people like you do not realize that "The truth shall set you free," and so your kind is content with merely living in Plato's metaphorical cave where epistemological shadows are sufficient intellectual nourishment for your empty souls.
Anyway, you just like to attack, attack, attack without learning the facts first. Go to a
real school and learn how to learn. |
